Probably the best part of the Oscars is picking out the worst dressed. How terrible, but not that hard this year. Again, three ladies stood out the most.First, Charlize Theron, the color and fit were perfect, but what was with those cinnabuns over her boobs? Her makeup and hair were flawless, it's a shame the dress had that detailing... Jennifer Lopez was probably my biggest pet peeve at the Oscars, I wanted to fix her frizzy hair, and cut off that thing she had attached to her side. She honestly looked like one of those motorcycles with the side car. […]

Among the competitors for Best Director were the once married Kathryn Bigelow for “The Hurt Locker”, and James Cameron for “Avatar”. It was hard to predict a winner for this group seeing as “The Hurt Locker” seemed to be a favorite for the Oscars.
Kathryn Bigelow’s name was the one called; “The Hurt Locker” was such a success it ended up snagging the award for Best Picture as well. The Iraq War drama clearly had an affect on audiences, Bigelow was the first woman in the 82-year history of the Oscars to earn Hollywood's top prize for filmmakers.

Best Leading Actor at the Academy Awards went to Jeff Bridges for his role in “Crazy Heart” he beat out George Clooney, Colin Firth, Morgan Freeman, and Jeremy Renner.
"Thank you mom and dad for turning me on to such a groovy profession," stated the newly titled best leading actor. He went on to praise the award as an honor for his parents as much as it was to his own self.
Like Bullock, Jeff Bridges was nominated four times in the past with no Oscar under his belt. His time came this year, but may not have happened since[…]

Sandra Bullock can finally add that shiny gold man to her awards, she has been nominated in the past, four times, with out winning. Many predicted her win for best actress after her outstanding performance in “The Blind Side”, luckily this time the winner was not a surprise! Her speech was truly from her heart, you can tell when someone is so genuinely happy and she was! The end of her speech was the best part-
"Not enough time, so I would like to thank what this film is about for me which are the moms that take care of[…]

BACKSTAGE INTERVIEW
CATEGORY: Original screenplay
INTERVIEW WITH: Mark Boal
FILM: "The Hurt Locker"
Q. Hi, Mark. What prompted you to write this particular screenplay? What is it about that subject matter that drew you to write?
A. In a way, I thought it was an eye opening and inspiring let's just say I had an eye opening experience in Baghdad in the end of 2004, and I thought that the story of these guys who have one of the most dangerous jobs in the world would be an interesting way to look at the war in a broader[…]

More amusing than a pop-up book, Alec Baldwin, and Steve Martin were absolutely hilarious in the opening. I cannot look at Alec Baldwin with out thinking of the movie Team America, but I have to say I forgot about it while this duo was on stage. What was with them picking on George Clooney though!
When they put on 3-D glasses to see James Cameron, Avatar director, I lost it! James Cameron will be going up against ex-wife, Kathryn Bigelow tonight. Fingers crossed for Avatar. Wait...what are you doing- go watch the Oscars!

One word comes to mind when talking about the Red Carpet at the Oscars this year, and that is interesting. I may be in a harsh mood, but so far only three have truly impressed me. Others are, boring, seen it before, or not age appropriate.
Starting with Amanda Seyfried, she looks glowing; her dress is the perfect color, fit and isn’t over done. She finished off the look with some stackable bracelets. Her hair is pulled back to show off her beautiful face, definitely one of my top favorites.
Second favorite so far is Sandra Bullock; she[…]

Alexander McQueen was said to have most of his Fall/Winter 2010 collection completed, before taking his own life in February 2010. Many wondered if the world would ever get to see his creations. Unfortunately, the scheduled show for Paris next week has been cancelled.
The latest updates show that on March 9 and 10 a presentation memorial will take place instead. Reactions are mixed on whether this is an appropriate decision for the brand that plans to stick around. What are your thoughts?
Another hint of bad news-all photographers are banned from the presentation. This is such a[…]

Balmain you drive me insane, or should I say Christophe Decarnin, the designer that took over the brand in 2005. His tough girl vibe is what has kept the brand intriguing. Nothing has changed this time around- left totally speechless after catching up on the Fall/Winter 2010 show in Paris. All that glitters is gold and so much more. From crazy sequins, to high cuts, you can not help but feel oh so lux when looking at the photos. Balmain always out does itself- My love for this designer is reconfirmed every season.
