Costume Institute Gala at the Metropolitan

Last night (May 4th) marked the annual Costume Institute Gala at the Metropolitan.

The event, celebrating the museum’s “The Model as Muse: Embodying Fashion” exhibit, which was hosted by Vogue’s editor Anna Wintour and co-chaired by designer Marc Jacobs, model Kate Moss and Justin Timberlake.

The red carpet was star studded including Leighton Meester, Ashley Olsen, Madonna, Ciara, Jessica Biel, Victoria Beckham, the White Stripes’ shaggy-haired Jack White with model wife Karen Elson, Jessica Alba, Tom Brady and Gisele Bundchen, Kate Hudson, Kanye West and girlfriend Amber Rose, Winona Ryder, Kate Bosworth, Eva Longoria, Anne Hathaway, Liv Tyler and Katy Perry.

All the celebs looked amazing, even those who will no doubt be pegged as the ‘worst dressed’. Rihanna took a huge risk when she sported an exaggerated tuxedo by Dolce & Gabbana (Very Tipping the Velvet) while Katy Perry wore a stunning, electric blue mermaid gown!
