
“I think it is very important for women if they can to make a splash, Heidi Klum told Fox411. “So for me, all the beautiful women that are here today to walk the Red Dress fashion show, have a red dress on and talk about something that is important for us women … is hopefully helping some women out there.”
This year the line-up included 20 celebrities including: Kim Kardashian, Felicity Huffman, Bethenney Frankel, Heidi Klum, Elisabeth Hasselbeck, Estelle, Joan Collins, Jordin Sparks, Kimora Lee Simmons, Kristin Chenoweth, Mamie Gummer, Pauley Perrette, Raven-Symoné, Regina King, Robin Roberts, and Valerie Harper.
The FashionNewsLive team covered both the Red Carpet Arrivals as well as the event itself. Before the show, I got to go backstage and photograph the celebs getting ready.





“Finding out all the statistics just made me really want to jump on board and be here and I’m so glad I am,” Kim Kardashian told Fox411. “I think you have to try and eat well and work out and live a healthy lifestyle.
The Library…
The Pre –Show prepping and red carpet coverage began in the NYC Library which made for an amazing backdrop – huge marble pillars, regal design work and ridiculously high ceilings!!! The actual show, however, was in the tents and yours truly was 2nd row – end of runway… behind Fern Mallis! (Fern Mallis is IMG Fashion’s Vice President and holds credit for bringing ‘Fashion Week’ to Bryant Park – and New York City)*
Participating designers included: Isabella Oliver, Donna Karan, Oscar de la Renta, Rachel Roy, Zac Posen, John Galliano, Badgley Mischka, Marchesa, Kouture, Daniel Swarovski, Michael Kors, Rebecca Taylor, Tadashi Shoji, Tracy Reese, J. Crew Collection, and Pamella Roland.
Throughout the month, many of designer dresses worn in “The Heart Truth’s” Red Dress Collection Fashion Shows will be auctioned off through a partnership with Clothes Off Our Back at www.clothesoffourback.org. Proceeds will benefit the Foundation for the National Institutes of Health on behalf of “The Heart Truth” in support of women’s heart health education and research.
