Best Leading Actor at the Academy Awards went to Jeff Bridges for his role in “Crazy Heart” he beat out George Clooney, Colin Firth, Morgan Freeman, and Jeremy Renner.
“Thank you mom and dad for turning me on to such a groovy profession,” stated the newly titled best leading actor. He went on to praise the award as an honor for his parents as much as it was to his own self.
Like Bullock, Jeff Bridges was nominated four times in the past with no Oscar under his belt. His time came this year, but may not have happened since Jeff had initially turned down the role! Crazy to imagine how he feels now looking back on that. He clearly made the right choice by going through with the film! Jeff’s future projects include, appearing in the upcoming “Tron Legacy” and another film titled “True Grit.”.
