Summer Looks

These are my favorites for the week, I love the idea of this Victoria’s Secret Bikini in black, the way it frames the shoulder blades is what makes the look so appealing to me. I remember when I was interviewing representatives from another lingerie company they told me that with lingerie and/or bikinis, it’s not always how much skin you show, but how you frame a woman’s physique with lines accentuating her best features that makes it sexy.

So true.

With the gold detailing on the beads I needed an accessory to compliment it and I saw this bracelet that would go perfectly with it. For me personally, I like to keep my accessories to a minimum to tie in the rest of the look. Bold yet still understated. I hate seeing a look go to s*** because of accessory abuse. An accessory, in my opinion should never compete for visual attention with the outfit or embellishments.

The key to my personal style is harmonizing colors that are accenting the oufit with a strong feminine accessory piece (that falls into current trends but is still timeless) and is always just a touch bohemian.

And now speaking of bohemian, I love this hat. Yes it is a little left of center with the texture of the hat but I like still like it.

I want to add the tiniest distressed vintage gold pin into the middle of the bow (and maybe a tiny contrasting chocolate brown feather as well) to pull the whole look together.

and last but not least, because you’re not fully dressed without a fragrance…

I adore “Viva La Juicy” by Juicy Couture as a summer daytime fragrance. It is a sweet fruity fragrance that isn’t overbearing with sweetness or warmth, it’s just right.
