Stumble itRunning around Malibu, I stopped into my FAVORITE vintage shop, Rock and Revolution the home of Gunshot Couture to work with my stylist CECE ABEL to get funky cool looks together for NY Fashion Week, where I’ll be reporting behind the scenes on BEAUTY. I had to leave with the vintage leopard boots (LOVE THEM) and the vintage Levi Mini Mouse Mini. I also grabbed a leather Bomber jacket, leather pants, and some awesome embellished flannels that are being put together for an upcoming photo shoot and NY Fashion Week. The girls in the store were all hanging out ripping, sewing, and embellishing tees..my idea of HEAVEN!!! Nothing like having your own vintage custom wardrobe put together by the stylists for MTV, American Idol, and the DOORS…
I also stopped by the McMillan Canale Salon in Malibu, shout out to Cornelia Guest who turned me on to it. Then to Jennifer Aniston and Leanne Rhimes to hook them up with my BEAUTY AMMO KIT, after blowing out of it the day before at Michael Canale’s on Canon in Beverly Hills. Supermodel Carolyn Murphy loved the feel of the Collagen Eye Mask, and clients were lining up to buy it before I could get them into the inventory at the salon! Michael Canale’ is world famous for his color, and we can see why, he was surrounded by blondes in several chairs all waiting for his magic touch. Aaron Johles at McMillan Canale is also on my list for next time I need a blow out in Malibu!
I had to run into PLANET BLUE MALIBU, and immediately grabbed the foot long feather earring with 20 different colors..my new FAVORITE over the top accessory! I sprayed on a couple awesome scents at their Beauty Apothecary and after leaving and getting 3 seperate men stopping me asking me what I was wearing, had to go back and buy both..Vanille Coco by SUD PACIFIQUE and GRAPEFRUIT Top Note by Creative Scentualization. Men LOVE vanilla, and the grapefruit top note was enough to put them over the edge! Gotta love it!
All in all, it was a blissful day, and my BIRTHDAY! The fact that my VISA was put on FRAUD ALERT/HOLD after was truly a testiment to the focus, drive, and passion that went into my Malibu shopping experience. As I was driving down the PCH rocking my new leopard boots, all I could think of is I LOVE MALIBU!
