Yves Saint Laurent Debuts Eco-Friendly Bag

Here at Fashion News Live we are advocates of the fashion industry going green and we are pleased to announce that Yves Saint Laurent is jumping on the green train with a new high-end, special-edition tote made partially from recycled plastic bags. The Muse Two Artisanal Recycled handbag is based on the French fashion house’s popular Muse Two design.

Teaming up with female artisans in Burkina Faso, West Africa to produce the “New Vintage” collection, YSL takes old, unused fabric and recycled goods to create new products. Since only 60 bags were produced (they must not have had a lot of leftovers), they are only available online in the U.S. and U.K. and run for $1,720.
