First Annual Paint the Runway Purple Show

The first annual Paint the Runway Purple Event held at the Alberta Abbey on Saturday, May 21st may have been christened under a torrent of Portland, Oregon rain, but the spirits of the participants and the attendees weren’t dampened.

The Emerging Designers fashion showcase featuring Kate Miles, Joy Sircar McMillen, Andres M Pinedo, Kendra Jones, and Desi Allinger-Nelson, was very well attended for a first time event. Members of the press and invited local boutique owners were treated to an exclusive preview presentation of the designers’ collections, on the runway-ready models, along with the chance to question the designers personally about their collections and vision of their brands before the general show began for the public and VIP’s.
