2012 Summer Olympic-Inspired Looks and Trends

The London Olympic Games will begin in approximately 24 hours; and we have got you covered here, at Fashion News Live, with what are the best looks you can sport this summer season.

Sneakers are accessories that transcend the daily commute; appropriate for both the track and city street style. All you need are the right shaped shoes in any bright neon color. Most popular sneaker brands being worn during the 2012 US Olympics Trials, recent Fashion Weeks and throughout various cityscapes include: Nike, New Balance, Salvatore Ferragamo, Raf Simons, and Valentino.

Other fashion brands that have promoted athletic-wear as en vogue, through their recent 2013 collections include: T by Alexander Wang, Balenciaga, Christopher Kane, Prada Menswear, Preen Women’s Ready-to-wear, Lanvin Menswear, Topman, Proenza Schouler, Emporio Armani, Moncler Gamme Bleu and Bottega Veneta. For example Proenza Schouler created neon-tinted bomber jackets and Emporio Armani designed “Olympic rings” printed sweatshirts. Both appropriate for the 2012 Games, as well as for London Town’s typical chilly climate is Moncler Gamme Bleu Men’s Ready-to-wear Spring 2013 collection, which included: life jackets, nautical gear, waterproof jackets, a navy utility jacket, white hooded sailing outwear, and even a rain slicker. Popular fabrics include: mesh, python, neoprene, and shearling.

It is easy to take the key elements from these fashion trends and fit them into your own unique style and look.

Mac Duggal showed an excellent collection, with playful tea lengths for daytime, and ethereal goddess style gowns for evening.

Both silhouettes favored a warm color palette, making it even easier for the modern fashionista to transition from daytime drinks to evening gala.

Across of all the styles, there was a distinct emphasis on the waist, using a variety of gems, belts, and empire seams. For those who prefer to show a bit of leg, there were also options with daring thigh-high slits and sheer panels.

This collection anticipates the complex needs of the modern woman and makes sure she looks impeccable in every one of them.

Neutral colors white, black, tan, and navy blue on the runway. Many layers of fabric, a lot of different textures. There was something different about this show; the models were enjoying their makeup and taking selfies on their phones during the show.

The large necklaces made a statement. Although some of you might be thinking that the jewelry is too much, that’s not the case here. This is an excellent example below:

One piece of big jewelry is the answer to getting a chic look like this. The colors and textures of the fabric combined complement each other very well in this collection.
