Guiliana and Bill Rancic’s long awaited and anticipated event has finally happened and as Juliana promised Entertainment on Today back in June, they did not name their son any “Hollywood-type, weird name that people can’t pronounce.”
Their son, Edward Duke Rancic, was born in Denver by a gestational surrogate Wednesday night. The Rancic’s were in the delivery room for the birth of Edward.
“The ‘Duke’ has landed!” tweeted Bill. “Edward Duke Rancic was welcomed into the world last night at 7lbs 4oz. G & I feel blessed beyond words…We did it!”
Giuliana Rancic, host of E! News and Bill, first-season winner on TV’s “The Apprentice.” cut the umbilical cord and gave the little bundle his first bath.
Starring in the Style Network reality show “Giuliana & Bill”, Guiliana’s breast cancer and fertility issues were talked about publicly. They were also very public about using a gestational surrogate to be able to bring their child into the world. (A gestational surrogate is not genetically related to the embryo that is implanted).
