Armani Privé Fall Couture 2012

Armani’s new couture collection was inspired from the works of photographer Ahae, known for his beautiful landscape photography.

The runway show itself was a glamorous demonstration of light vs. dark with contrasting themes such as sunrise and midnight.

The show over all was dominated by a masculine style with shirt like jackets with wide-legged velvet pants. These velvet pants were a constant theme through out the show and became the main message throughout the runway presentation.Despite the large amounts of simple velvet there was much attention to detail focused on in the collection. Utilizing day-breaking colors, the collection varied with touches of silk and cheery tricolor tunics.

The music was supporting the collection when it was presented by various sonic cues, including the crickets with the night-sky collection, a major focus for his 2012 collection. To add a sense of sexiness and dominance many of his designs were strapless, a seemingly dominant silhouette for the 2012 couture lines.

As the show began to reach its peak the collection began to transition into a colder climate with the new addition of scarfs and Swarovski Elements adding almost a celestial beautify to the designs. This was no doubt an award winning collection that took the viewer from the majestic sunrise to the radiant sky light stars of the fashion industry.
