Michael Clarke Duncan Dead at 54

The star of The Green Mile, Michael Clarke Duncan, has passed away at the age of 54 from effects after suffering from a heart attack in July.

Duncan “suffered a myocardial infarction on July 13 and never fully recovered,”  Joy Fehily, a family Rep said.

Duncan was dating “The Apprentice’s”, Omarosa Manigault-Stallworth. It was her quick action and lifesaving measures in July that saved his life then.

Duncan landed his first significant movie part in 1998, playing Bear in  “Armageddon”. Before that he was generally known for playing bouncers in movies; parts that were more about his size than his talent.

His character in The Green Mile,  “John Coffey”, earned him an Oscar nomination, though it was won by Michael Caine for “Cider House Rules”.

Michael Clarke Duncan will be sorely missed. RIP Michael 12/10/57 – 9/3/12
