Fashion Foward Bedroom Ideas

One place that we all tend to spend most of our time is our bedroom. We dress ourselves up and keep all of our must haves in this special place, so why shouldn’t we get to style our bedroom as well?

After recently moving into a miniscule room I decided to gather some fashion forward ideas to help me maximize space and dress it up. Believe me this space is tiny but I have to work with what I have and have some ideas gathered up. Now let’s see how you can take some of my ideas and give your bedroom a mini makeover.

One unique characteristic to my new small room is that it has a very high ceiling. This high ceiling has made me decide to get a loft bed to have more space around and underneath me. Starting with color selections, a brighter color will make the room appear bigger. But don’t let a white room hold you back. Choose one wall and add thick black and white stripes to lengthen it.

Wallpaper can also be an easy way to get creative. A vintage themed will change the whole atmosphere.

A collection of shelves can help you save space on the floor by being able to display anything on the walls. They can accessorize your room as well as hold books, frames, movies and necessities.

My favorite new thing is using walls and hooks to hang necklaces and bracelets. Why store your jewelry in a box where they can get tangled when you can pin up some hooks and hang your favorites up on the wall? Use a piece of wall paper to frame the section or use cork board to pin them up.

And if you want to get a little more creative and have some extra space, why not hang a hammock for guests to enjoy and sit in.

Now I’m just a couple more weeks away from finishing up my new bedroom. You can use these ideas and even let us know your creative thoughts on how to save space and style your sleepy place.

On day three of the ABIL Pune Fashion Week, we saw clothing lines from Mayank Anand & Shraddha Nigam, Raj Shroff, Falguni & Shane Peacock, and Dinesh Malkani. Loved the cool blues, crisp whites, vibrant pinks and reds, and rich gold accents. The ensembles from Raj Shroff’s collection were sophisticated, simple yet detailed, and effortlessly chic. One of my favorites from his line was the white button-down tunic with a floral, royal blue pattern on the sleeves, collar, and front of the dress. Mayank Anand & Shraddha Nigam’s collection was unique with all black pieces paired with colorful wraps. Falguni & Shane Peacock’s line was one of my favorites. The collection included pieces that were girly yet edgy like the sheer gown with a rose petal patterned fabric overlay and contrasting striped bottoms.

The ABIL Pune Fashion Week continued to day two with designers Nitya Bajaj, Nivedita Saboo, Riddhi Siddhi, Mona Shroff, and Nachiket Barve. Each designer showcased clothing lines full of vibrant colors, detailed patterns, intricate beading, and figure flattering silhouettes. Various Indian actors and actresses showed their support for the designers by walking the runway. Loved all of the gold sewing detail mixed with bright reds, shimmery silvers, and rich, deep purples. One of my favorite ensembles was the red, beaded maxi skirt paired with a nude colored bandeau and silver and gold sleeveless vest. Each pieces was detailed, rich in color, and elegant. We saw several major trends including the top two colors of the fall-maroon and forest green. Each designer mixed traditional patterns, beading, and embroidery with contemporary silhouettes and colors. Jewelry designer Mona Shroff showed off more traditional pieces including chunky stoned collar necklaces, body chains, headpieces, and arm cuffs.
