Hermes Spring/ Summer 2013 Show at Paris Fashion Week

French-born designer Christophe Lemaire created 35 polished, womenswear looks for the runway.

Galerie nationale du Jeu de Paume, a museum located adjacent to the Tuileries Gardens, was the grand historical venue for the runway show. The theme of the show was a journey, both for the modern woman and the head designer (as it is only his fourth season with the Fashion House).

The stylish models strutted down the catwalk in silks, crocodile and leather. Birkin bags, for these traveling fashionistas, appeared to be supersized. The other trendy accessory was the large belt, which cinched the tiny model waists. Additionally, the luxurious ready-to-wear fashion show paired leather backpacks with matching dresses. Other looks highlighted were tailored tops, jackets, trench coats, shorts and pants. Standout collection colors included: French roast brown, jade, cobalt, mustard and turquoise; and prints for the show were mosaics and geometric shapes.
