Major Victoria

Dsquared2 effortlessly blends military, Victorian, and samurai influences.

The Dsquared2 Fall / Winter 2016 collection is the unlikely yet perfect combination of three drastically different inspirations. Pairing delicate and feminine fabrics with masculine silhouettes and accents, the latest Dsquared2 line shown at Milan Fashion Week conveys an edgy but glamorous look for daring women.

Models donned outfits covered in gold buttons, preppy stripes, and camouflage prints. Military jackets and admiral style capes were worn over organza dresses, flowing a-line skirts, and glittery tops. Adding an eclectic element, each outfit was accessorized with belts, bags, and shoes resembling those worn by ancient warriors. Brass plates, cords, tassels, pearls, velvet ribbons, and fur completed the costume-like collection.

Fernando Alberto Atelier at New York Fashion Week

Fernando Alberto used a lot of blacks and sky blue tones, with varied hemlines from short to long. To break up the black, there were small pops of color. His collection is very relaxed, yet rebellious. The flowing silky dresses were accessorized with big metallic earrings and fishnets. Shorter dresses used thick and chunky metallic bracelets as accents. Crocodile skin print, ruffled blouses, leather jackets added the finishing touches to the look.
