Flatform Frenzy

While the Spice Girls are long gone, the 90’s are back in full force. Flatforms were recently seen strutting down the Derek Lam, Vena Cava, and Prada spring runways. Somewhere between sky-high Gaga-esque platforms and the kitten heel, the flatform adds the perfect amount of “flat” height. Now all you need is some 90’s pop music playing the background and a midriff top.

Trend Alert: Color Blocking

Dynamic loud colors make for an expressive look this spring. Seen on the Prada, Christopher Kane, Louis Vuitton, and other designer fashion runways this trend has trickled down to bloggers such as Beth Jones of B. Jones Style and Chiara Ferragni of The Blonde Salad.

While there are few rules to color blocking, it is important to remember to stick to two or three colors. Bear in mind that you want the brightest colors to accentuate your best features, where the eye will be drawn. If you tend to shy away from being the subject of street style photographs, mixing a single bold accessory with neutrals still adds a pop to your outfit.

MUST HAVE: MESSECA WEDGES

FIERCE ALERT!

Wedges are continuing to make a bold statement for spring and summer. I am totally obsessed with these wedges by Messeca! Wedges are great because they are versatile and can be worn with a day or night time outfit (NOT TO MENTION THEY ARE SUPER COMFY). Nude, turquoise, and black are three of my favorite colors, so I am tempted to buy all three! At only $170 a pair, I might take myself up on that offer. 😉

Stay Fierce xo
