Stella McCartney Spring/Summer 2014 Paris Fashion Week

Stella McCartney knows how to make a woman look effortlessly sophisticated, unique, and feminine and her Spring/Summer collection was no different.

Stella McCartney knows how to make a woman look effortlessly sophisticated, unique, and feminine and her Spring/Summer 2014 collection was no different. With a color scheme of navy, taupe, white, and maroon, the line was mature yet still trendy. The simple silhouettes were spiced up with glamorous sunglasses, funky patterns, and textured fabric. Stella McCartney used the same silhouettes throughout the entire collection but created different variations of the styles. Loved the bomber jacket-dress with crocodile-like fabric and silky sleeves. Stella McCartney’s line was sophisticated with a touch of sporty, sexy, and relaxed with low necklines, playful jumpsuits, and loose fitting silhouettes.

Saint Laurent Spring/Summer 2014 Paris Fashion Week

Dig in your closet and dig out those shoulder pads, leopard print accessories, and leather dresses because Saint Laurent is bringing the sexy back in 80s punk-chic style.

Dig in your closet and dig out those shoulder pads, leopard print accessories, and leather dresses because Saint Laurent is bringing the sexy back in 80s punk-chic style. The Saint Laurent Spring/Summer 2014 collection featured ruffles, shiny leather, one-shoulder silhouettes, shimmery fabrics, lace socks, and leopard paired with hot pink (which reminded us of Madonna in her “Like a Virgin” days). We loved the contrast of tight leather clothing and studded shoes paired with delicate, white socks. The line was girly, edgy, and sexy all at once with sheer fabric, sequined pieces, and funky patterns like leopard, stripes, and even lips. Loved the sequined skirt suit paired with a structured, white button down and skinny, black tie. It was the perfect blend of rocker chic with sequins and vertical stripe detail.

Valentino Spring/Summer 2014 Paris Fashion Week

Valentino’s collection was full of vibrant colors and Spanish flare. The pieces were intricately woven with bright red, yellow, blue, purple, turquoise, and pink thread and featured one of my favorite trends-sheer panels.

Valentino’s collection was full of bright colors and an Old World Spanish flare. The pieces were intricately woven with bright red, yellow, blue, purple, turquoise, and pink thread and featured one of my favorite trends-sheer panels. The line was multi-textural with embroidery, sheer fabrics, and fringed accessories. The ornate pieces were beautiful, vibrant, and rich. Loved the mixture of traditional patterns and embroidery with short hemlines and sheer panels. One of my favorite looks was the orange, red, and black long-sleeved, mini dress paired with flat sandals and a camel colored, fringe clutch.

Dior’s line was full of glamour with vibrant hues, colorful pointed-toe heels, over-sized tops, form-fitting pencil skirts, pretty florals, and sequin accents. Loved the lavender, criss-cross fitted halter top paired with the silver, metallic, below-the-knee pencil skirt. And the strappy, pointed-toe pumps added a touch of edge. The collection featured pieces that were right on edge with structured jackets, sheer fabrics, hour-glass shaped silhouettes, floral patterns, flowy skirts, and crop tops. Dior’s line was fun, flirty, feminine, and mature.

Viktor & Rolf Spring/Summer 2014 Paris Fashion Week

The Viktor & Rolf collection was preppy with an edge, clean cut, and sophisticated. The line seemed to be inspired by private school uniforms with the color scheme of navy, white, black, and gray and plaid patterns.

The Viktor & Rolf collection was preppy with an edge, clean cut, and sophisticated. The line seemed to be inspired by private school uniforms with the color scheme of navy, white, black, and gray and plaid patterns. The collection featured structured blazers, casual pullovers with decals, fitted tops paired over collared button downs, A-line, calf length skirts and short school-girl style dresses. Loved the collared, long-sleeved, white super short skater dress. Other than the mini dresses, the skirt lengths were conservative falling right above the knee. Viktor & Rolf followed suit with probably the most popular trend among all the fashion week shows-black and white contrast. This made the pieces tough but still girly and flirty but still mature.

Jean Paul Gaultier Spring/Summer 2014 Paris Fashion Week

Jean Paul Gaultier’s line was anything but boring. The all leather ensembles were representative of Jean Paul Gaultier’s over-the-top style. The collection was right on trend with mixing edgy, leather pieces with softer, nude tones. Loved the two-toned, leather motorcycle jacket paired with the flesh toned, ballerina, tulle skirt. Lace, sheer fabrics, soft nudes, and ruffles contrasted with black leather pieces. The collection was sexy, daring, and unique.

Isabel Marant’s collection was right on trend with the black and white contrast. The line was a perfect representation of Isabel Marant’s bohemian flare mixed with girly and edgy pieces. Ruffles, lace, and studded sandals were mixed with crisp white, muted gray, and pastel pink tones. We loved Isabel Marant’s take on the popular baring midriff trend with delicate, lace bralettes. Isabel Marant’s pieces were fashionable, wearable, and effortlessly chic. One of my personal favorites was the black, lace-all-over, low-v mini dress. The simple dress was cute, feminine, and edgy all at once. We expect to see several of these pieces at the popular California music festival, Coachella, next year.

Balenciaga Spring/Summer 2014 Paris Fashion Week

Balenciaga’s collection was girly, fresh, and ultra chic. Structured silhouettes, soft colors, funky patterns, and leather accents made this collection feminine but still edgy with motorcycle styled jackets, baring midriffs, and mini hemlines.

Balenciaga’s collection was girly, fresh, and ultra chic. Structured silhouettes, soft colors, funky patterns, and leather accents made this collection feminine but still edgy with motorcycle styled jackets, baring midriffs, and mini hemlines. We loved Balenciaga’s futuristic take on the peplum trend. One of my personal favorites was the black, leather crop top with sheer, vertical stripes paired with high-waisted shorts with peplum detail and floral pattern that seemed to be Asian inspired. Overall, the collection was sleek, playful, and feminine.
